Koodos to Kroger!!

The new Kroger here in Farragut opened yesterday. This morning I had to go in for a few items so I figured I'd go ahead a get a bit of shopping done since I only had one kid and an hour to burn. (BTW, Landon loved having the "car" to himself...for once he didn't have to deal with Jael constantly kissing and squeezing on him, plus he got twice the room, two steering wheels and two horns to toot!)
They have three constant deals: one I have heard so much about from my friends in Greenville and that is DOUBLE COUPONS!!!! YEAH!!! Now, they cap off at 50 cents (why do keyboards not have a "cents" sign!?! how aggravating!!) but that's better than nothing, right!?! Now we don't get TRIPLE COUPONS...at least not that I know of. These double coupons make spending $2 for a Sunday paper feasible; not fun, but feasible. The second deal is that for every $100 in groceries (pre-tax, post coupons) you get a voucher for 10 cents off each gallon of gas that you purchase at the Kroger gas station...and yes, it is accumulative so you don't have to spend it all in one trip. However, the done side is, they don't have a gas station!!! The one on Northshore does, however, and I'm up there once a week for bible study so it won't be out of my way; and for a savings of $5 or so it's soo worth it!! And lastly, of course they offer their Kroger card so you can to advantage of the "members only" advertisements as well as their sale prices.

I love our Kroger. I get most of my gas there, as it is usually teh cheapest around, and you get to use your Kroger card there too. OH, and check out, they may do that thing where you can donate your receipts for the schools, they do that here!!!

Sorry this is off topic, but please forward this to your email distribution:

My brother works for the telecom industry and he entered a video contest. Well, it seems that he made the finals in this contest. The link below connects you to the two finalist videos. My brother's appears on the left. Now remember, these are geeks trying to be funny so be forewarned. There is a free trip and some cash on the line, so help him out if you can.

I found this site to load slowly, but you may have better luck.

Thanks
Fred

We actually live in the town of Farragut in Knox County and it is a suburb of Knoxville, TN.

Easier just to call it Knoxville.

Here are some links:
