Our Turkey Holiday

Since Mike and Sarah spent Thanksgiving with Mike's family this year, we decided to postpone it here in Knoxville, so we celebrated on Friday. We had wonderful turkey, "melt-in-your-mouth" chicken and dumplings, green beans, delicious sweet potato casserole, great cranberry jell-o dish, and a very nice marinated slaw for dinner and then Nan made a cake, and Sarah brought ginger cookies with a pumpkin "icing" and a pumpkin pie for dessert...we ate til we couldn't eat any more.

Nan decided to participate in the great American tradition of Black Friday...she was not too impressed, but then again we didn't leave here until 8:30 and most of the stuff was sold out and a lot of the crazy consumers were taking a breakfast break. We went to both Target and Wal-Mart. But she did, however, find some good deals on-line.

Here are some pictures of the family around the house on Friday and one of Amy smelling my flowers.
