Poor, Poor, Pitiful Lando

Well, I broke down and took Landon to the pediatrician today. His cough and congestion has gotten worse and there is absolutely no OTC (over the counter) medications for infants anymore, especially when it comes to decongestants and cough suppressants. Dr. Howard checked his ears and low and behold, my poor baby has a left ear infection ON TOP OF all this junk. After being poked and proded with a stethoscope, an ear wax remover, a popsicle stick, he had two cotton swabs crambed down his throat and one stuck up his nose.

The good news is the strep test and the RSV test was negative; the bad news is that since they were negative, it means it is a virus and is therefore untreatable. Hopefully the antibiotic for the ear infection will at least make him FEEL better, even if it can't help him BE better.
