"I'm a little bit sick"

Those were Jael's exact words when telling Grandma Carolyn how she felt today.

It turns out her lethargic feelings were somewhat valid. Tuesday afternoon she started acting "a bit off". I figured it was from all the driving and walking around Asheville that we did...NOPE!! Wednesday morning she woke up still a little off, but seemed to get better as the morning progressed. Then came Wednesday afternoon...she spiked a fever of 101.7 and lost her appetite. She laid on the couch and totally vegged-out...something she NEVER does.

Next comes the fun part--the nasty brown bile/saliva she decided to show me four times!!! (I'll let you guess how!)

Well, good ol' Doc Lowery gave us some good news and some bad news. The good news is that it wasn't strep...YEAH!!! The bad news is that he wasn't sure what gastrointestinal virus it was. So, he prescribed some Zofran for the vomiting and some Tylenol for the fever. (He said with an upset tummy Tylenol works better than Motrin.) Plus he informed us that since it is a virus, it is contagious!

After a trip to Wal-Mart for new toothbrushes, pedialyte, the rx, and a few groceries we are now home and she is feeling better. However, I don't want to get too excited since she felt good this time yesterday and then it went all down hill after naptime.

Let's just pray that Abbey doesn't infect all of Greenville with this nasty little bug. Sorry Ebeling's and Strickland's (and Bird's too for that matter).

I'll keep you posted!! Plus, I'll post Asheville pictures in a little while...gotta get some kiddos fed and down for a nap.
