A few weeks back we met up with the Bird's in Asheville and had a wonderful time. Shanna and I took the children to the local mall, ate a pizza from Sbarro's for lunch, and walked around for a couple of hours. Then we figured we'd get in the car and find something more to do to entertain the kiddos for a while. Well, long story short, we didn't find anything but construction, traffic and a McDonald's!! So we head toward the mall and find a Lifeway to hang out at for a short while. The kids enjoyed the new VeggieTale while we looked around. We left there with four exhausted little ones, so we headed back to their hotel room for a while. Jael fell asleep on the couch (so out of character for her) while Abbey and Mady made crafts and Landon played with me and Shanna. The Council kids and I left after a leftover dinner for the three hour return drive back to Knoxville.
All in all, it was a memorable occasion...good memories, of course!!
