Date Night

James was finally able to take Jael out for her first "date night". He took her for a truck ride to pick up my claw foot tub (yeah!), then proceeded to CiCi's Pizza for dinner buffet and ended up at Chuck E. Cheese to play games. (Why eat at CiCi's when you are going to CEC...it's cheaper and better!) They had a blast!! While I was putting Jael to bed, she went on and on about riding in the truck and eating pizza and brownies and playing lots of games and getting lots of tickets and buying lots of candy and toys. I wish I had a picture to include, but alas, I do not.

Madyson and I went to the mall for a girls night out...well, not technically, we did have the Lando kid, too. She had accumulated birthday money, allowance money and a gift card to Claire's. She got a Webkinz penguin, a Fairy calendar, two new Fairy dolls from the Disney Store (Rosetta and Silvermist if you follow the line), another Disney Store toy, and some princess magnet sets. I managed to make a few purchases too, though not for me. Children's Place had a huge sale going on. If Madyson had been more cooperative, I could have spent a whole lot more money than I did. I ended up getting nine articles of clothes (3 each) for about $35...not too shabby. I also caught a sale at Gymboree and got Lando some more clothes off the $5 rack. Not too much at the Gap, but I did manage to squeeze out a couple of bucks on Madyson a winter hat and Jael a headband. Our last store I purchased a few more headbands for J and some earrings. We ate dinner in the food court.

We left the mall though the Dillard's exit and wandered around the parking lot desparately trying to find the van. Then it dawned on me--Dillard's has more than one exit!! I have never been more embarrassed!! So I quickly ran the kids back into Dillard's to warm up for a minute and then proceeded out the correct exit and found the van right where I had parked it.

regarding the comment above, it was Fred's 1st time looking at everyone's blogs and he got comment giddy...

I almost always loose my car when I go to Walmart or the mall. It's sad...

Woo hoo! Wish I was there to do some of that shopping!! (although I would've been no help finding the car because I'm just as bad!)
